Porch Replacement/Repairs

BGI completed the stabilization and restoration of a historic porch, carefully balancing structural upgrades with preservation of original materials. The existing wood porch posts were removed, salvaged, and reinstalled to maintain the building’s historic character.  The existing porch floor structure was removed and replaced with new pressure-treated framing, primed and painted to match the original building colors. A new concrete slab foundation was installed, including termite treatment and reinforcing steel, to provide long-term structural support.  To further protect the building, BGI installed a new subsurface drainage system. These improvements help manage moisture and preserve the integrity of the historic structure for years to come.
