Community Development Center
Lobby Remodel
This 2,500 SF remodel transformed the lobby and customer service area at the Tempe Community Development Center—all within an occupied and fully operational facility. BGI handled demolition and build-back with upgraded acoustical ceilings, new ceramic tile and carpet, custom cabinetry, and a 56-foot transaction counter fabricated by the BGI mill shop. We also constructed new drywall partitions and office doors, reworked electrical systems, and installed modern lighting throughout.
Working in a live environment meant clean, quiet construction was essential. We developed and followed a detailed dust and noise control plan to keep disruptions to a minimum. With limited space for parking and staging, materials were delivered “just in time” to keep the project moving efficiently without crowding the site.

Client Testimonial
“Gary and Nick of BGI are great at listening and addressing issues. Gary is wonderful at meeting the needs of the project and has a great personality! Their teams that were on site work quickly and as quiet as possible and if I stopped by with a question they were helpful and sincere. The project was finished on time as promised. There are a few loose ends that staff has requested but I know and am confident that all will be taken care of in a very timely manner.”
