Falcon Field Airport
Terminal Remodel
A full transformation of Falcon Field Airport’s 1971 terminal brought new life to this iconic “Gateway to Mesa.” As a general aviation hub owned and operated by the City of Mesa, the terminal now offers a more welcoming and functional experience for air travelers and airport staff alike.
The remodel featured a striking exterior facelift, including wing-shaped canopies with blue accent lighting and an elevated public viewing area surrounded by desert landscaping. Inside, the building was completely gutted—from the roof deck to the walls—and reimagined with a new layout that expanded usable space from 3,690 to 4,300 SF. The updated floor plan enhances operations and accessibility, with a larger public lobby, new pilot briefing and conference rooms, improved restrooms, and dedicated office space. Best of all, the renovations brought the 50-year-old facility into full ADA compliance, ready to serve the next generation of aviation activity in Mesa.
