Security Improvements

Fabrication and installation of custom open-air steel and fabric shade canopies over an exterior stairway and balcony at a busy police station. The goal? Conceal working police personnel from the direct view of residents and guests at a newly built apartment complex next door.

This project came with its fair share of challenges—designing a screen that met Police and 911 requirements, working on a stairwell with limited access to the second floor, and navigating construction in a fully operational police and emergency response facility.  BGI tackled these head-on by partnering with the right awning fabricator, developing a creative and functional design, coordinating work around police shift changes, and building a temporary platform over the surrounding landscaping to safely access the work area.
